Roli Mohanka

I am an artist from Mumbai, currently pursuing fine arts in Chicago.

My work explores memory its impact on one's relationships and connection to the past. From large scale acrylic paintings which focus on examining and manipulating my own lived experience to abstract sculptures which use materality and scale to question the role memory plays in shaping identity, my body of work aims to stir emotion and reflection in the viewer. I often attempt to weave recurring symbolism and imagery through my work, alluding to both my culture and lived experience.
